What Homeowners Should Know About the Roof Warranty
If you are considering GoNano restoration from The NuRoof Guys, the useful question is simple: what does the warranty cover, and what do you need to do so it stays valid?
Here is what we put in writing with your proposal.
The line we actually use
Warranty up to 15 years on qualified roofs.
Not every roof qualifies. Exact coverage depends on your roof and the work performed. We put that in the proposal, not in a one-size grid on a blog post. If you want the terms that apply to your house, they are the ones in that written warranty.
What this warranty is, and what it is not
A workmanship and treatment warranty is not roof insurance. It does not cover every problem a roof can have. Storm damage, falling branches, neglect, and unrelated leaks are examples of things that usually sit outside a product warranty. Hail in Utah is an insurance question. Your carrier decides the claim. A warranty document does not.
The warranty you receive for your roof, after we have inspected it, is the one that applies. If something you read elsewhere disagrees with that document, the document controls. A projected roof lifespan is not warranty coverage. Your written warranty is.
What to do with the paperwork
When a roof qualifies and the work is done, keep the proposal, the invoice, and the warranty confirmation together. If you sell the house, ask us at the inspection whether the warranty can transfer, and we will walk through whatever the written terms actually allow. Your written terms control.
